Eclipses
About this page
Every solar and lunar eclipse of the year at your place. A solar eclipse is seen only where the Moon's shadow falls while the Sun is up, so its times — from sparsha, the first touch, to moksha, the release — are your own, and many eclipses are not seen from a given city at all; those are listed faded, with the hours they hold anywhere on Earth. A lunar eclipse happens at the same instant everywhere, and is seen wherever the Moon is above the horizon. The type is the one seen at your place: khagras (total), kankanakriti (annular) or khandagras (partial). The times are the Hindu Calendar app's own, to the minute.
