Gupta Navratri in Ashadha runs Shukla Pratipada to Navami like the other three, but is kept privately rather than publicly — “gupta” means hidden, and the observance belongs to tantric and shakta practice rather than to the household festival calendar. It carries no public Ghatasthapana and no Dashami finish in common observance, which is why most calendars leave it out.
