Tripushkar Yoga takes the same Bhadra tithi (Dwitiya, Saptami, Dwadashi) and the same Sunday, Tuesday or Saturday as Dwipushkar, but a different set of nakshatras — Krittika, Punarvasu, Uttara Phalguni, Vishakha, Uttara Ashadha and Purva Bhadrapada, the tripada ones. Where Dwipushkar is said to double, this trebles: gains come three times over, and so do losses. It is the rarer of the two.
