Vivaah Muhurat 2026

Vivaah Muhurat is not one rule but a shuddhi — a screen every candidate moment has to pass. The Moon must be in a marriage nakshatra (Rohini, Mrigashira, Magha, Uttara Phalguni, Hasta, Swati, Anuradha, Mula, Uttara Ashadha, Uttara Bhadrapada or Revati); the tithi must be an auspicious, non-Rikta one; the Sun must stand in a permitted solar month — Mesha, Vrishabha, Mithuna, Vrischika, Makara or Kumbha, which is why the Chaturmas and Kharmas stretches hold none at all; the karana must not be Vishti, Shakuni, Chatushpada or Naga; and the nitya yoga must not be Vyatipata or Vaidhriti. Only spans of at least half an hour that clear every one of these are listed. Regional practice adds further tests, lagna shuddhi and the couple's own charts among them, so read these as the days a family shortlists from rather than as a final choice.

All times are IST, computed for Ujjain. A tithi or nakshatra turns at the same instant everywhere, so your timezone changes only the clock it reads — but a window bounded by the weekday also follows your own sunrise. The app computes both for your city.
