Vyatipata 2025

Vyatipata is the seventeenth of the twenty-seven nitya yogas — the daily yoga formed from the combined longitudes of the Sun and Moon, so it is a span of time rather than a whole day. With Vaidhriti it is the graver of the two yogas held to spoil an undertaking, and new work is set aside while it runs. It is not inauspicious for everything: the same hours are counted fit for japa, tarpan and shraddha. It comes round about once a lunar month.

All times are IST, computed for Ujjain. A tithi or nakshatra turns at the same instant everywhere, so your timezone changes only the clock it reads — but a window bounded by the weekday also follows your own sunrise. The app computes both for your city.
