The panchang wheel is the almanac as a single dial: the Sun and Moon on the nirayana (sidereal) zodiac, oriented by the lagna (ascendant). The angle from Sun to Moon grows ~12° per tithi — 0° at Amavasya, 180° at Purnima — splitting the wheel into its shukla and krishna halves, while the bars below track the moment through the tithi, paksha, nakshatra, masa and ayana cycles. Same engine as the Hindu Calendar app.
