पुरी की रथ यात्रा — जगन्नाथ, बलभद्र और सुभद्रा हाथों से खींचे जाने वाले तीन विशाल काष्ठ रथों पर मंदिर से गुंडिचा मंदिर तक जाते हैं।

Ashadha Shukla Dwitiya, the second day of the bright fortnight of Ashadha. The tithi itself is ordinary; what makes the festival unusual is everything hung off it — the whole Puri sequence is counted forward from this date, so the surrounding observances move with it rather than having tithis of their own.
