Sankashti Chaturthi is the fourth tithi of the dark fortnight, but it is dated by moonrise rather than sunrise: the day on which chaturthi is running when the moon rises. That is why it often falls on a day whose sunrise tithi is still tritiya; one falling on a Tuesday is Angarki.

Dates and end times are IST, computed for Ujjain. The tithi ends at the same instant everywhere and only the clock reading changes with your timezone — though near midnight that can move the date itself. The app computes these for your city.
